Ponco Prawoko
Ponco Prawoko has recently returned from the Netherlands, where he completed his Master of Laws in International Business Law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Mr Prawoko obtained his Bachelor of Laws (Sarjana Hukum) from Universitas Indonesia in 1996, and also obtained a degree (Sarjana Teknik) in Industrial Engineering from the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti in 1994.
After graduation from Universitas Indonesia, Mr Prawoko joined Wiriadinata & Widyawan as an associate in 1997, and was appointed a senior associate in 2001. Upon his return to Indonesia, he joined Widyawan & Partners as a Senior Associate.
Mr Prawoko has handled transactions involving general corporate matters, investment issues, general mining, the capital market and mergers & acquisitions.
Apart from being an editor of the Vrije Universiteit Law Journal, Griffin's View on International and Comparative Law, during his time of study, Mr Prawoko has also contributed his writing on An Analysis of ICSID Case Law on the State of Nationality of Foreign Investors which was published in the journal that same year.
Mr Prawoko has completed the Capital Market Legal Consultant program conducted by the Capital Market Institute of Management, Finance and Accountancy in cooperation with the Association of Capital Market Legal Consultants.
He is a member of AKHI (Indonesian Bar Association for Legal Consultants) and PERADI (Indonesian Advocate Association), and speaks fluent English and Indonesian.
