Brooke Nicholls
Brooke is a lawyer based in our Jakarta office. She is currently on secondment as a Foreign Legal Adviser to Widyawan & Partners.
Brooke practices in energy, resources and infrastructure law and general corporate and commercial law. Brooke has a diverse range of experience advising international exploration and production companies, listed entities and government bodies in the region.
Brooke's recent experience includes:
- advising private and government bodies on the acquisition and sale of petroleum and mining interests in Indonesia;
- advising Rio Tinto on its US19.5 billion strategic partnership with Chinalco;
- acting for the Victorian Department of Transport in relation to the re-franchising of the Melbourne public transport system; and
- advising BHP Billion on its strategic alliance with PT Antam Tbk to develop a multi-billion dollar nickel processing facility in East Indonesia.
Prior to being based in Jakarta, Brooke has also worked in the Melbourne and Singapore offices.
Brooke has advanced Indonesian language skills.
